Subject Access Requests

All individuals have the right to apply to access any personal data that an organisation holds about them. The General Data Protection Regulation also gives individuals the right to give authorisation for someone else to make the application on their behalf.

The CCG must ensure that there is a procedure in place to respond to requests made under the General Data Protection Regulation and Access to Health Records Act 1990 for records for which they are the Data Controller. The CCGs’ Standard Operating Procedure for the Management of Subject Access Requests outlines the procedure for Cannock Chase, South East Staffordshire and Seisdon Peninsula and Stafford and Surrounds CCGS.
