Following the government’s announcement yesterday, the six Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent have been developing robust plans to ensure we can continue to deliver essential functions. We wanted to keep you informed of the actions we are taking as CCGs.
A key priority for us is supporting the wellbeing of our staff, and from today, in line with government guidance, we are advising staff, where possible, to work from home. This will ensure that our staff, their families and members of the community remain safe during this pandemic. Arrangements are being put in place for phone numbers and email addresses to continue to be monitored, to minimise any disruption.
Essential teams, such as the Choice and Referral Team and the Urgent Care Team will continue to work on site, we are putting processes in place to ensure resilience within these teams.
We have also been reviewing key meetings, and will be organising these to be held virtually or postponed as appropriate. People will only be asked to attend meetings face to face, by exception.
Our Incident Management Team is now fully operational within the CCGs and connected with the Strategic Incident Command Centre. This will support a co-ordinated, resilient response across our system partners.
We are working hard, with our partners, to ensure that we continue to serve the people of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent and support high quality of care. We would like to thank all health and care staff for their ongoing dedication and care over the past few weeks, as we work within unprecedented circumstances.
